Preparing for Your Trades Exam
Find the resources you need to prepare for your trades exam. Learn about what to expect when you eventually sit down to write, find the documents which the exam questions are drawn, find practice exams, find textbooks, a tutor, and resources. Make a plan and connect with the supports you need to succeed.

NSAA Trades Math Modules
These self-directed modules introduce core concepts of fractions, decimals and algebra through exploring how to use a measuring tape. The modules cover the standard imperial system of inches and feet, the metric system of metres and centimetres, and conversions between the two.
Orientation to Apprenticeship
This Orientation is a mandatory mini-course for newly registered apprentices and employers, packed with detailed information essential for navigating our apprenticeship system in Nova Scotia. Anyone who is curious about this post-secondary educational pathway is welcome to take a look. Registration is not required.
The Apprentice Orientation Program is 5 parts and takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
The Employer version is 3 parts and takes 1.25 hours and includes an optional 4th part.
